THE NUMBERS – A Scott Rasmussen/RMG Research poll from Oct. 9 - Oct. 12, asked Americans if it is important for the United States to help Israel defend itself against Hamas. It revealed the following:
68% believe it is important to help Israel defend itself
16% believe it is not important to help Israel defend itself
16% are unsure
When asked which side America should support:
53% favor American support for Israel
6% favor American support for Palestinian groups
25% think America should not support either side
