WHY IT MATTERS: Since 2016, working class voters have been shifting toward the GOP. This voter bloc includes many minority voters.
THE SHIFT: Since the 2018 elections, support for Democrats has dropped with the following groups of Americans:
Black women down 7 points
Black men down 11 points
Latina women down 14 points
Latino men down 21 points
BOTTOM LINE: While Democrats did better than expected in the 2022 midterms, the continuing erosion of support with minority voters should be of concern.
